Recommendations for resolving problems with updating step count
These recommendations are intended to solve the problem of step counting on watch faces for Wear OS (Samsung Galaxy 4/5/6, Pixel Watch/2 and others).
In some cases, after reinstalling the watch face and other things, small actions are required to adjust the step counting.
- Open the watch face menu. To open the menu make a long tap in the center of the screen, then tap on the settings icon at the bottom of the screen.
If there is a "Grant Permissions" option in the watch face menu, then not all permissions have been granted.
Tap on this item and grant access to the watch face.
- From the watch face menu, in the section "Steps" > "Data source for Steps", select an app called "steps" or similar.
- Switch to any other watch face, then switch back to that watch face. Wait a few minutes, the step count will be updated.
