Location and background updates

Some Futorum watch faces or applications use Location Information to provide weather forecasts, weather alerts, geocoding and place names, sunrise and sunset information, moon and astronomy information, elevation information, coordinate displays, location-based tiles, complications, watch face updates, or similar features.

With Your permission, an application may obtain Location Information from a phone, a wearable device, or another connected device. Some applications may also allow You to use fixed or manually entered coordinates instead of device location.

If You enable background updates and grant the required permission, an application may access Location Information while the application is not visible in order to keep weather information, watch faces, tiles, complications, and other location-based content up to date. Location coordinates may be transmitted securely to Futorum servers and to Providers when necessary to provide requested weather, geocoding, elevation, or related functionality. Futorum does not use Location Information for advertising, marketing, or user profiling.

Device sensor and environment history

Some Futorum applications may allow You to enable an environment history or similar feature. This feature may store samples that include Location Information, GPS altitude, atmospheric pressure, weather pressure, magnetic field measurements, accuracy information, and timestamps.

Unless a product clearly states otherwise, environment history is stored locally on Your device or synchronized locally between Your connected phone and wearable device. It is not used for advertising, marketing, or user profiling. You can disable this feature or delete stored history using the controls provided by the application, device application settings, or by uninstalling the application.

Connected phones and wearable devices

Some Futorum watch faces or applications communicate between a wearable device and a connected phone. This communication may be used to synchronize settings, subscription status, weather information, Location Information, device sensor samples, images, commands, or other information required for product features. Data sent between connected devices is handled using the communication services provided by the device platform.

How do we use the information?

Futorum may use information described in this Privacy Policy to:

• Provide, operate, maintain, and improve Futorum watch faces or applications;
• Provide weather forecasts, weather alerts, geocoding, elevation, astronomy information, and other location-based features;
• Keep watch faces, tiles, complications, widgets, and other content up to date;
• Synchronize settings and supported data between connected devices;
• Confirm purchases, subscriptions, and access to paid features;
• Provide customer support and respond to Your requests;

How do we share the information?

Futorum does not sell Location Information or device sensor information.

Age-related information from app stores

In jurisdictions where age verification laws apply, an app store may verify a User's age and obtain parental approval for application downloads, purchases, or significant changes. Some Futorum applications may receive an age category, supervision status, parental approval status, or similar age-related signal from an app store.

If a Futorum application receives age-related information from an app store, We use it only to comply with applicable laws, enforce age-related restrictions or protections, and implement safety-related features or default settings. We do not use age-related information for advertising, marketing, user profiling, or analytics, and We delete it when the required verification is complete unless retention is required by law.

Data retention and deletion

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

Location data, weather data, and related data may be temporarily cached to provide real-time functionality, improve performance, reduce network usage, or support background updates. Cached data is cleared, overwritten, or expires after a limited period.

Locally stored settings, selected locations, cached content, and environment history remain on Your device until they expire, are overwritten, are deleted using application or device controls, or the application is uninstalled. Retention periods may differ between products and features.

How can you access and control your information?

Device and application controls.

Most devices provide settings that allow You to control permissions and information sent by the device. Depending on the product and device, You may be able to turn off location services, revoke precise or background location permission, use manually entered coordinates, disable background updates, disable environment history, clear local data, reset an advertising identifier, disable personalized advertising, or uninstall the application.

If You do not provide information required for a feature, that feature may be unavailable or less accurate, but other features may continue to work.
